Do I Need Air Conditioning Repairs?

There is certainly some mild weather during the winter season in which you may not need to run your air conditioner but, generally speaking, our cooling season does more or less last all year long. With that in mind, it is understandable to worry about the condition of your AC from time to time. While having your system repaired in January may not be quite as problematic as it would be in August, you still want to ensure that the job is completed promptly, which means that you need to spot problems with your system early on. Doing so can be tricky, but there are plenty of warning signs to be aware of which can tip you off to the need for AC repairs in West Palm Beach, FL. Call Envirotech Air Quality Services to schedule service.

Water Leaks

While water leaking from your air conditioner may seem alarming, it’s generally not a sure sign of serious trouble. Your air conditioner does not use water in the cooling process, so the water leaking from your system may in fact be humidity removed from the air. You could simply have a clogged condensate line that needs clearing. However, issues like refrigerant leaks can lead to icing on the system, and that ice can melt and give the appearance of water leaking. Refrigerant leaks are much more serious issues, so call a professional regardless.

Warm Air

The last thing you want is to turn on your air conditioner, only to find that it is blowing warm air throughout your home. This problem can develop for a number of reasons. Again, refrigerant leaks could be to blame. You may also have a problem with your ductwork leaking air as it is delivered throughout your home. Whatever the case, we’ll get to the bottom of it.

Strange Sounds

Even if your air conditioner seems to be operating normally, you cannot afford to ignore the development of strange sounds during its operation. It may simply be the result of a loose component or a slipped belt, but it could also indicate a more serious problem in development. When in doubt, it’s always best to play it safe by scheduling professional repair services.
